Program | The lecture will focus on the Charvats, who lived for many centuries in three villages near Mikulov (Jevišovka, formerly Frélichov, Nový Přerov and Dobré Pole), where they managed to preserve their language, culture and customs until the communist coup in 1948. The Croats were the regime at the time, forced to move out of their homes. From South Moravia they reached the foothills of the Jeseníky Mountains, the Opava, Olomouc and Prostějov regions. |
