Kings Return
Dynamic and soothing, the four-piece vocal group Kings Return pride themselves on creating a diverse yet remarkably cohesive a cappella sound. The group rose to fame after releasing a series of raw staircase performances that went viral. Their sound has been compared to the legendary Take 6 or Boyz II Men, but what sets Kings Return apart is their flawless integration of a wide range of genres and styles—blending elements of R&B, jazz, gospel, and pop, all on a solid classical foundation.
Kings Return was formed in 2016 when Gabe Kunda asked his friends to perform with him at a college recital. After several years of fine-tuning the lineup, they reached their final form in 2020: Vaughn Faison (tenor), Gabe Kunda (bass), JE McKissic (tenor) and Jamall Williams (baritone).
Based in Dallas, the band has gained millions of fans worldwide both live and online. Since the inception, group experienced their first wave of popularity in the summer of 2020 with the release of God Bless America. A year later, they achieved even greater success with the classic song Ubi Caritas, which has collected over 10 million views. This moment marked a fundamental shift – from a purely gospel repertoire, the band opened itself to wider musical possibilities.
In December 2021, they released their debut EP “Merry Little Christmas”, in September 2022 the album “ROVE”, which included a Grammy-nominated cover of How Deep is Your Love by Bee Gees. In November 2023, Kings Return released their first full-length Christmas album “We 4 Kings”.
The name Kings Return reflects their artistic intent: “Kings” – because they perform with charisma, confidence and the courage to overcome new challenges; “Return” – because they want to give back to the communities that have supported them on their journey.
