Lecture: Architecture and music: OSTINATO and repetition in architecture

The pair of architects, Remy Kokes and Zuzana Ambro, note the parallels between architecture and music. Just as the American minimalist school – led by Philip Glass and Steve Reich – repeats melodic motifs and builds on their sameness and yet difference, urbanism and its creators build on repetitive elements that are individualized yet closely related.
