Lecture: Lednice Chateau Mystery – Masonic Garden

Lecture of doc. Krejčiřík will not only present the historical development of the Enlightenment gardens abroad (starting with the strict geometric formations and ending with the landscaped park) but will focus primarily on the Lednice-Valtice area and the park extending around the chateau. It is here that a landscape garden with geometric shapes symbolizing Masonic tools, a breathtaking trail representing the path of knowledge and other elements related to the Masonic theme were created. Even though these elements have mostly succumbed to the ravages of time, it is still possible to see their remains – which will be the focus of the walk following the lecture.
